My love has left the nest.

No cracklings of the untidy plates,
no whispers of the water from anywhere,
can't see any new scratches on the wooden floor,
can't hear them fighting for a chocolate anymore.

Partly burnt wood lies near the hearth,
cold is my soul and colder is the house.

The stellar castle of dreams big white home,
is now just an unread address lost in the mail,
the chirps of my chicks play a game of hide and seek,
My love has left the nest with the food still in her beak.

The pain is undeniable and the peace is haunting,
never knew how long a day could be,
when no one waits for you,
never knew how quiet it could be,
when no one is to be silenced.

This poem is one of my favorite pieces that i have written.
it talks about the loneliness of a Man whose wife and children have left him. sometimes the silence can be immense in this world of cacophony. i hope you enjoyed reading this.
